Viola da gamba consort course in collaboration with AMUZ

Saturday and Sunday

On both Saturday and Sunday, we’ll play in small gamba consort groups.
Each gambist will play one-to-a-part.

Participants are grouped according to level.
The coaches rotate between groups, so everyone will have the opportunity to work with each of them.

A simple lunch is provided on both days.
On Saturday evening, dinner is included.

Saturday Evening: Concert Lecture at AMUZ

On Saturday evening, AMUZ invites us to a concert lecture at their beautiful venue in Antwerp.
Thanks to our collaboration, we can offer this Hathor Consort concertreading as part of the weekend.

The concert starts at 8:00 PM.
Via the registration form, you can indicate whether you have seats available in your car or are looking for a ride.

Travel by public transport is also possible, with two short walks of 15 minutes each.
We’ll make sure you have enough time to enjoy your meal before heading to the concert.

Gambaweekends in… Lier!

Lier is a small but wonderfully beautiful city in the province of Antwerp. You can find all the information about this historical gem by the Nete through this link:

Want more info about the city? Looking for accommodation? Wondering how to get there?

Daily Schedule and Transport to Antwerp

Each day includes four sessions in which you’ll work within your level group, guided by different coaches throughout the day.

One month in advance, you will receive most of the sheet music. This allows us to focus on refinement during the course.

Between sessions, there’s time to meet other enthusiastic musicians over a drink or a piece of fruit.

At lunchtime, a simple bread-based meal is provided.

On Saturday evening, we’ll share a warm meal together, followed by a concert lecture at AMUZ.

Through the registration form, you can indicate whether you have seats available in your car or if you are looking for a ride.
Travel by public transport is also possible, with two short walks of about 15 minutes each.
We will make sure there’s enough time to enjoy your dinner before heading to the concert.

You may safely leave your instruments at the course venue during the weekend.

The day starts at 9:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday we finish around 9:00 PM (in Antwerp), and on Sunday at 5:00 PM.
